GROUP LESSONS:
These are popular and to be recommended. Students become motivated through the peer group. They will include playing and listening, reading, music mind games.
MISSED LESSONS:
Lessons missed during their term are charged for unless notice has been given in writing at the start of the term. Other missed lessons are made up at the teacher’s discretion during the same calendar week as the missed lesson. If a made up lesson is missed, then it cannot be re-scheduled or credited. Lessons missed by the teacher will be made up during the term/month or credited to the following term/month.
- My time studio schedule is supplied.
PROMPTNESS:
Driving in London after school is, as we know, dreadful. However, it is worth mentioning that missed time can not be made up at the end of the lesson as this upsets everyone’s schedule.
COURTESY:
Please come into the studio quietly when another lesson is in progress. The teacher is delighted to see you, but may not do more than acknowledge your arrival since she is concentrating on the student having a lesson. Suzuki lessons are very often observed, and children quickly grow accustomed to open lessons. RULES
- No food, chewing gum or drinks is allowed in the studio.
- If required, ensure that children go to the toilet and wash their hands before the lesson begins.
- Nails need to be short and trimmed for proper piano playing.
- Parents are not allowed to interfere or interrupt the teaching/teacher during the lesson(s). They are expected to take notes of the ‘teaching points’ and can raise points at the end of each lesson. The written notes will be needed during the week, when the mother/father supervise their children.
- The siblings are not allowed to talk or bring toys inside the class.
- Noise is not permitted during the lesson.
TO WITHDRAW THE PUPIL One-term notice in writing is required to withdraw the pupil from lessons.
